Marking Two Years at The Blue Stoops

This week marks two years since we opened The Blue Stoops in 2024. While not without some inevitable stress and strain, these have been some of the happiest years of my life. The usual dry tone of these missives is temporarily suspended while I try to thank those who've made this happen. Now, with feeling!

Steve Holt and Rob Warriner and all the team at the brewery up in Leeds who make the finest cask ales known to man. I am of course beside myself at the launch of the all-new Allsopp's IPA in the coming week, not to mention the national success of Double Diamond! Thank you.

Sergio Farina and Ari Valentine (and all the front of house team) who pull hundreds of thefinest, frothing pints of Allsopp's every day and make a lot of W8 people very happy in the process. The vagaries of the pub trade sling a thousand curveballs a week at this lot, and they always come up smiling. Thank you.

And last but not least chef Jake Farley + kitchen team who have redefined what is possible in a pub kichen- every day we have new seasonal dishes on the menu, presented simply and with tremendous elegance. By way of example we have braised venison for two this Sunday - possibly unmissable...Thank you.
