
The Game & Madeira Dinner
We love Madeira at the Blue Stoops, especially aged Madeira. We love it for its deep flavour and seemingly endless variety. But we also love that its history is so similar to our own at Allsopp’s.
Like Allsopp’s India Pale Ale - and indeed Allsopp’s Arctic Ale - Madeira was created to survive the challenging conditions aboard a sailing ship while being exported, in all weathers and conditions, to a thirsty world.
And now Allsopp’s has forged a partnership with Blandy’s, the finest winemaker on the island of Madeira, to cellar and serve their magnificent wines at The Blue Stoops. This collaboration brings together two historic English mercantile families who have been producing and exporting the highest quality drink for hundreds of years.
To celebrate, chef Jake Farley now proposes a game dinner for the ages.

Each course is paired with a 50ml glass of Madeira from the Stoops cellar. For the strong of heart there will be a particular grappa at the conclusion of the dinner. Keep half an eye on our instagram for details of these drinks as they are selected.
