Owned by Bernard Magrez since 2000, the estate is one of the oldest in the Médoc, dating back to the Middle Ages, with a moat and drawbridge still intact. Despite the château’s theatrical setting, the wine remains anchored in tradition. The 2009 continues to demonstrate how Haut-Médoc can produce wines of both substance and refinement, substantial enough to impress yet graceful enough to reassure.
