Carnival Opening Times and Closure for ‘Improvements’
It’s been an extraordinary first year and we are so grateful for all the enthusiastic custom and kind words. Thank you. To mark our first anniversary, we are closing for a few days immediately after carnival to make some significant physical improvements to the pub.
Firstly, we are adding a new cocktail station to the bar, allowing the ramping up of our cocktail menu. Sergio and his team in the bar are working up a new menu with early arrivals including the Margarita and House Spritz – to add to the unimprovable, ice-cold brilliance of the House Martini.
Secondly, we are addressing the chief complaint from you the customer. Namely that when the pub is going full pelt, it is difficult to hear the finer points of that scintillating conversation which is going on at your table. I know, I feel the same way.
So! Hallelujah, after much research and not a little expense we are installing an ‘acoustic ceiling’ in the dining room and bar. This reduces echo and reverb and should mark a significant betterment of the Stoops experience. Let us know what you think, please, when we re-open on 29th August.
